The project aims to identify the entrepreneurial capacity and development needs of active civil society organizations (CSOs) in Armenia.
The targets of the project are active CSOs from 10 regions of Armenia and Yerevan.
The project will last for two months. Quantitative and qualitative methods will be used to carry out the research. A list of active NGOs will be compiled through combination of different lists presented by different organizations. Based on the sampling method, a list of CSOs will be compiled who will participate in the survey. The proportion of CSOs in the country will be maintained throughout the whole survey process. Focus group discussions will be part of the survey and will be implemented with local and international CSOs who are practicing social entrepreneurship. At the final stage of the research the collected data will be analyzed and a report will be made.
As a result of the project overall image of the entrepreneurial capacity and development needs of active CSOs in Armenia will be formed. This will become a founding ground afterwards for organizing trainings and providing consultation. Due to the capacity development of the entrepreneurial activities, CSOs will be able to gain new sources of obtaining funds.
The main partner of the project is the International Center for Intercultural Research, Learning and Dialogue Center, which is implementing the Community Development through Social Entrepreneurship project. The project is funded by the European Commission in Armenia, and is co-financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation.
